PRINCIPALS

Mario Testa: B.B.A, CMA

Mario Testa has over 20 years of experience in the sales tax field. As a tax auditor with the Ontario Ministry of Finance, Retail Sales Tax Branch, Mario managed the implementation and audit of the reciprocal taxation agreements between the different levels of Government. In addition, he conducted major audits of large and complex financial institutions, government agencies, and crown corporations with particular focus on auditing sales tax refunds.

Mario founded Tax Management Services Inc. in 1996 after serving as a Senior Tax Consultant with one of the largest tax recovery firms in Canada. 

Tax Management Services Inc. under the leadership and direction of Mario, has been successful in recovering millions of dollars and negotiating large sales tax compliance issues on behalf of clients. He has built a solid reputation for himself and Tax Management Services, renowned as being one of the best in the Tax Recovery Field.  His firm’s reputation is only furthered by successful litigations at both the Federal and Provincial level.

Jeff Warwick CGA, LLB

Jeff, a Certified General Accountant, has served as an auditor for the Federal Government administering GST and Income Tax.  Jeff spent 5 years lecturing for the Certified General Accountants Association, delivering the 5th level of Advanced Financial Accounting, Advanced Corporate Finance, and Advanced Auditing.  Jeff is also a Tax Lawyer and an active member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. 

In addition to active involvement in the conduct of client tax reviews, Jeff, as Director of Legal Services at Tax Management Services and an integral member of the senior executive, monitors legislative and regulatory changes within tax laws.  As such, Jeff offers in-house legal counsel with respect to client’s claims, and represents clients in litigation, if that is required.

Stuart McCulloch: CMC, MBA

Stuart, as Director of Business Development, provides over 30 years experience as a Certified Management Consultant providing Marketing and Information Systems leadership and direction to a variety of industries, professional associations and government. Highly effective in client relationship management and leading project teams, Stuart manages TMS’s client base and service delivery process and is accountable for the TAXMiner Methodology™.

Tammy Vanderstarren:

Tammy comes to TMS with a background in Psychology. As Manager – Admin Services, with 10 years of corporate experience behind her, Tammy is accountable for finance and administrative services and internal systems support.  Her exceptional skills allow for smooth transitions between corporate departments, ensuring a continuous flow of support and information to both TMS and our clients.
